Nexus Clash

Pretty much what the title says. I'm kind of confused why spears can only be used as thrown weapons, given that much of their use throughout history has been as thrusting weapons primarily and thrown rarely. Contributing to the confusion is that they're on the Melee Weapons wiki page, and also called a spear rather than a javelin or anything that would suggest it's a specialist throwing spear. I think spears should be reworked similar to light weapons that can be thrown so that they can be used in either mode.

can only presume it's some odd mistake that the melee weapon was changed to a heavy throwing weapon

there was a weapon i proposed before called a javelin that its new stats are very similar to, so there's that i guess

yeah sure

one week from now i will request a database-y admin to replace all spears in-game's item type with javelin

then will properly introduce javelins as at least a findable weapon in a few places + revert spear to its 3.5/4 statistics

spread it around
