Destructive blow not working

I don't have revealing logs but i had to bash the old fashioned way and it was terrible.
I got like +10 damage or something and can't account for it, but not DB. I set the dropdown each time because i'm not a progamer. No MP was charged. I used Cain, Ennervate, Feast on suffering and maybe even Rage strike without issue, having plenty of MP left.

I mean, frankly those numbers are all BS anyway. The log was doing 25 per the dropdown (up to 26 with unholy) so why 35? and why did unholy boost it by 10?
