Gameplay: (?) Add factional equivalents to morality aligned things, like glyphs

Post by SaltedSalmon »

As with title,

There should be barricades that are only passable for your faction and its allies.
And much the same for glyphs.
If https://nexusclash.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=843 is implemented, said glyphs and barricades should count as whatever morality your faction is.

I feel this makes barricades (and glyphs) a little convoluted. Keeping it simple to either a faction-oriented system or a morality-based system makes sense. And the latter, as it currently exists, should do its job of forcing inter-factional gameplay along morality/alignment lines. It may or may not end up that way of course but its too early to say.

Morality-based absolutely does not make sense unless you're Good, as other characters are allowed to hunt each other for EXP.

Yes, but constant interfactional warfare should make it difficult to organize offence or defence from other alignments... ok I'm stretching it a bit, but adding more barricade/glyph variants should wait until much later. I still don't think the current system is tested enough but that's my view of it.

Quite the opposite, I feel like this should be added BECAUSE Barricades need testing.
If barricades were more helpful (IE: Couldn't be bypassed by everyone because they all have flights or were aligned to your morality anyways), then the test results would be more helpful.

Besides even if barricades are removed then this would still be good for Glyphs, I think.
